Aim
Your Aim is the destination you're heading toward. The more specifically you describe it, the easier it becomes to reach.
The Aim explained
The Aim extends beyond mere financial targets; it’s more than just a figure representing your turnover and profit over the next five years. Like coordinates on a map, reaching it requires more than simply “North” or “Southwest.”
The foundation of your Aim lies in the value you aim to create over the next five years—and for whom. While financials are important and offer a clear view of your Aim’s impact, turnover and profit are the results of your products and services, which must be produced, delivered, and sold. This requires resources, a motivated team, and the expertise to develop these offerings. Additionally, an infrastructure—such as buildings, networks, production facilities, and sales outlets—is essential to support this work.
By defining these elements, you create a destination that is both attainable and tangible for everyone involved. Each person can independently focus their energy, skills, and experience toward one or more aspects of the Aim. The only questions they need to ask are: “Does this contribute to the Aim?” and “Is it aligned with the Foundation?”
If both answers are affirmative, they can move forward with confidence and fully realize their potential.
The coordinates of your Aim
The Aim is a set of coordinates. It’s not solely financial; it includes your vision for how your brand will be perceived, the organization of your company, the size of your team, and the products and services you will offer. These coordinates can be readily translated into milestones and actions along your Path.
